Pepeha

WAL about our Pepeha using Google draw.

First we had to learn all about the school pepeha by filling out a table in workspace. We had to fill out the mountain, Waka, Moana, iwi, Awa and school. Next we made a Google draw, we had to write the school pepeha in the Google draw and search for PNG clip art images that match the writing. After I inserted an image of me and cropped it. I enjoyed learning about the school Pepeha. I found it challenging to find images that suited the writing.

Kleki Art

WALT use and create drawings using kleki.

Today I used kleki to make a piece of art, I used almost every one to see what it did and while some were really cool some others were a bit crazy. I used lots of different galaxy colours like blues, purples and pinks for my gradient background and then I blended the colours with a cool stroke. I used different shapes and sizes and then I added them to my drawing to make a really cool overlapped kind of drawing. I enjoyed fiddling with the strokes and shapes. I found it hard to decorate my background.

Have you ever used kleki?Let me know in the comments.

Rippa Rugby

WAL how to play Rippa rugby

On Wednesday we got to play Rippa Rugby with someone named Tamara, Te Puawai also played. First  we got put into groups blue, yellow and red, I got put into the blue team with Alyssa. Next we played a game named dragon tail were we  all  had to run around trying to get as many tags as possible but you could only steal from your colour, In the first  game I got 3 tags but then in the  second game I got 6 tags. After we played Bull rush tag, the people in the middle had to try and rip your tag before you got past the white cones and if they did you had to join them in the middle. Last we played a game called Simon says where we got a partner and we  put a cone in the middle and then Tamara called out stuff and then when she called out cone we had to grab it fast before our partner, I won 6 times and Sophia won 1 time.

I enjoyed learning and playing all the games.

I found nothing challenging.

Kleki

WALT use digital sites to make art.

Today I used a site to make a abstract piece of art. When I first had an Idea it didn’t work but then it happened again and again and again, So then I just ended up doing a ladybug pattern with lots of different strokes and circles with a gradient background. I enjoyed making the art. Nothing was challenging.

Fungi/Reading

WAL about soil in the ecosystem.

Today we were learning about soil,  I did the soil superheroes followup activity. First I had to pick a living organism and do a description, I ended up doing fungi and for my description I did some fun facts. Next I had to find it’s habitat which handy dandy google helped me really quick. Last I found out what its role is in the ecosystem which google swoops in and saves the day again. The very last thing was that I had to blog about it.

I enjoyed everything about doing this.
